Just a few reminders as this will be a busy week.
Our class will be having our bake/ toy/ book sale this Friday, the 23rd. Please make sure that you have any toys or books for the sale in by this Thurs. as we would like to price them. Also, if you volunteered to make something for our sale, please try to have it here by first thing Fri. morning- thank you so much.
We would also like to go skating at the new rink this Friday. We would leave after lunch and return by 2:30. If you can volunteer to help with this, please sign the permission slip that will be sent home. This will be weather permitting, of course.

The students will not have a spelling list this week, and will have a story to write for their Langauage Arts. This will be due no later than Friday. Thanks!

Hello and Happy New Year!

A class letter was sent home earlier this week outlining several things that will be happening during the next couple of weeks. PLease sign the form for the bake/toy/book sale and return it with your child. We are planning on having this sale next Friday and will need all the help that we can get!
~Math homework folders were sent home this week and will be due back by Jan. 30th
~Langaugae Arts duotangs were sent home Mon. and will be due back this Fri.
~All students also have their weekly spelling lists to study.

Last week, I asked for students to bring in white tube socks (we will be making snowballs). Some have brought them in, however we can use more if you have any extra at home.

Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the winter weather, that includes socks! Extra mittens and socks should be packed in bookbags as they often get wet. Thanks for your help with this!

Hello Once again!!
Yes, it has been awhile!! Just a few reminders for the upcoming weeks.
We are enjoying this month and will be doing various activities before we break for the holidays! We have a class tree and the students have enjoyed making ornaments.
~This week the class has a Christmas spelling list~ please be sure to go over these with your child.
~ Grade 4 students should be practicing their times tables every chance they have.

~LA and Math homework are combined this week and will be due back on Monday.
~ We will be having a recipe exchange in our class. Your child will be given a recipe card to bring home. They should write their favourite Christmas recipe on it and bring it back ASAP. It can be for cookies, squres, etc. Anything that they like to eat during the holidays. The class will be exchanging the recipes so it is important that we get one from everyone!

~ The students will soon be drawing names for Secret Santas. During the last week of school before Christmas, they will be exchanging small gifts for 3 days and giving a gift to the classmate whose name they chose. It is to be kept TOP SECRET. They really enjoy the guessing game. The gifts can be homemade items or not costing more than $5. they should be wrapped and they can all be brought into school during the first of the last week~ be sure to ask your child whose name they drew! If your child is unable to participate, please let me know so that we can take care of it so all of the students will recieve gifts when we exchange! I will also be sending home a note about this.

~Our Christmas concert will be on Monday Dec. 15 at 1:00

Welcome Back! This will be a short week. We will not have a spelling list this week and a reminder that the Math homework folders are due Oct. 27. Hopefully all is going well with the folders , we had many postive comments from parents and the students themselves!

~ Next week, the students will be bringing home a Language Arts folder that will be due the following Monday. Please make sure that your child corrects their work from the previous week if they haven't done so already in class.
~ School Picture orders should be in by this Friday.
~ Please continue to send in any Pringle cans and pennies for the Invisible Children penny drive. We can also use any extra pieces of fabric that you may have, especially for Halloween and Christmas.
Have a great week!
